CONTEMPT

Contempt of court must be pursued when a party fails to abide by the terms of a Court Order. The most common contempt issues in Atlanta include failure to pay child support, failure to pay alimony, and failure to divide assets according to existing court orders. A court has wide discretion and can be very creative when determining the punishment to obtain compliance of its orders.
